Last week we began learning about the Olympics. We told the children how the Olympics would have been happening without the current world situation over our winter. They saw some clips of what an opening ceremony looks like and examples of Eva Excellence in a range of different Olympic events. We have been carrying out our own "Olympics" for Te Wai Puna students. Our first event was the Bean Bag Throw, second event Ping Pong Ball Power and third event Rocket Javelin. We have more events on the way - fingers crossed the weather stays okay - and when our Olympics have finished we will have our own little LEGEND award ceremony. I have some photos of when we made Olympic Ring Biscuits and from the Ping Pong Ball Power event from Room 1 and 1a. (Note - they did not share straws :)
