Loose Parts Play

On Friday morning, we invited the children from Cloverlea Kindy to join us in our play. We put out a water trough with a variety of bottles, cups and ducks as well as a range of Loose Parts for them to use their imaginations with. Most of the children chose to be outside and it was lovely to see how iNclusive the children were to the kindy children. In our playground expectations it says, "Invite others to join in your game" - we saw our children gesturing or asking each other to join in. I loved seeing how one creation would start and as more children joined in, it would evolve with the new and different ideas. We encourage using lots of loose part materials in our classroom play as well.
