Our New Outside Area!

Our LEGENDs have gained some responsibility during their opportunities to play (which is why they might've needed a beanie). We have set up an outside area that is marked with a flag bunting to show the boundary. Each flag of the bunting has a name of a student from Te Waipuna - written by them - so they have ownership of this space. If they are choosing to play in that space, they find their lanyard with their name on it first, put on their shoes (and beanie if they need to) and off they go. There is a teacher outside supporting them in their play while they use things like, outdoor chalk, toy cars, hoola hoops, water trough, big blocks, maybe painting and more. There is also a sandpit on the way. So far, the space has been a great success!
